What makes Happy Wags, LLC so special?

We are committed to doing whatever we can to make sure your pets are safe and happy. And when your pets are happy, you are happy too. We offer many different pet care and dog training options to fit your individual lifestyle and all of our packages can be customized to fit your specific needs and budget. We offer dog walking for the dog that needs extra exercise or needs a potty break if you are working a long day. We also offer pet sitting at your home that can be used if you are going on a trip or just going to be gone all day. We can come to your home to care for just about any pet and make sure they are content with proper exercise, food, water and anything else they may need.  We also offer private dog boarding in a cage free environment. Your dog will be treated as one of the family here. We wouldn't have it any other way. There are also several dog training packages available for any breed or age of dog. These classes are taught by a certified dog trainer using only positive training techniques.

What are the advantages to in-home pet sitting for my animals and me?

1.) Your pets continue on a regular routine, safe and secure at home

2.) Your pets receive individual attention in the form of playtime and training

3.) You don't have to make extra trips to the kennel before and after your trip

4.) Your pets are not stressed by an unfamiliar location

5.) Your pets are not exposed to illness from other animals in crowded kennels

6.) Regular visits give your house a "lived-in" look

What pets do you care for with your services?

You name it, we care for it. We have experience with many different kinds of animals both big and small. We care for everything from horses and llamas, to small animals (mice, hamsters, rabbits, ferrets etc) and reptiles. We of course care for dogs and cats too!

I am in need of your services, what do I do?

First, go ahead and contact us through our 'contact us' page or give us a call at (484) 553-6508. We will answer any questions you have, and set you up with a service that best fits your needs.  We will schedule your free in-home consultation or phone consultation (depending on service needed). We will email you a packet with initial information that you should bring to the consultation. At the consultation, we will discuss your pets schedule, special needs and payment.

What are your hours of operation?

We are available for pet care services and dog training by appoitment only

Will you stay in touch with me while I am away?

One of the best parts about this job is seeing happy clients, both furry and not so furry. We love to fill you in on how your pets are doing so you can have peace of mind and enjoy your trip. When you book with us, you will let us know the best way to reach you while away and how often you would like updates. We can send you updates in the form of phone calls, email or text. We can even send you a picture of your pet enjoying their time with us!

I have a dog that has some behavioral issues and is possibly aggressive, can I still book pet care services with you?

We don't like turning away dogs in need so we will do the best that we can. We will have our certified dog trainer come to your in-home consultation and determine if your dog will be safe to work with while you are away. Also check out what we have to offer with our positive dog training packages. Today is a great time to start if you are having problems with your dog.

I have a dog with lots of energy! Can you care for them while I go away on vacation?

Yes! We can visit your home, as many times as needed as day to give your dog the care they need. We can give extra walks and playtime to keep your dog happy. If you have any other animals, we can care for them as well during our in-home visits.

What if my pet becomes sick while I am away?

We will first contact you using the contact information on your form. If we are having trouble reaching you and depending on the severity of the situation, we will then contact your listed emergency contact if appropriate. We will use the vet information on your form to care for your pet if you deem it necessary, or if we cannot get in touch with you, we will use our best judgment.

What will you do if there is an emergency?

If there is an emergency with your scheduled sitter, we will have another sitter perform the scheduled tasks. This will only happen if there is an absolute emergency. If there is severely bad weather, we will carry out the scheduled services as long as we are not endangering ourselves. If the roads are too bad to travel, we will contact your emergency contact and/or perform the scheduled services as soon as we are able. If there is an emergency with your pet while under our care, we will first try to contact you, then your emergency contact, then your listed vet if necessary.

What vaccinations are required for your services?

Rabies is required for cats and ferrets

Rabies and DHLPP is required for dogs for our in-home pet sitting, dog walking, and training services

What will you do with my key and private information that is kept on file?

Your key and all of your private information will be kept under a special coded system. This information will never be kept with your name and/or address for your safety.

How far in advance do I need to book with you?

Our services are based on a first come first serve basis. You can book months in advance, or the day before, it doesn't matter. We don't charge a service fee for late bookings. We will try to accommodate you best we can. For first time clients, we do require an in-home consultation before all services.

My flight was delayed and I won't be home in time. What do I do?

As soon as you know you will be late, contact us and we will resume scheduled services. We will add the extra services to your final bill, free of any other fees. We understand that things like this happen.

I have a new puppy. When can I start teaching him things?

It is never too early to teach that new puppy basic commands and even a few tricks. The easiest time to train a dog is when they are young and before they learn bad habits. You can start training your puppy as early as 8 weeks old. We have dog training packages perfect for that time of their life that focuses on socialization, potty training, teaching house rules (no chewing on furniture), and basic commands like sit, stay and come.

My dog has severe behavioral and/or aggression issues. Can your dog training program help me?

Contact us today and our certified dog trainer will be in touch with you to discuss the problems you are experiencing with your dog. We can help you with cases such as extreme fearfulness, over excitability, possessiveness, dog aggression, and excessive barking. We do not make any guarantees. The severity of your case and whether we can help you or not, will be determined during your complementary phone consultation.
